My name is Naomi and I am a bike traveller!
I discovered this passion thanks to my Dad, who in 2018 cycled all the way from Italy to Spain to run the Valencia Marathon — in an incredibly fast time too! I was amazed by his achievement, but even more by the excitement in his voice every time we spoke on the phone and he told me about his day on the bike.
Inspired, I decided to experience the adrenaline of travelling by bicycle with him the following year and I was blown away by how extraordinary the experience was!
That was the beginning of my journey,
both literally and figuratively, exploring countries and cultures I had never experienced before and quickly grew fond of.
Embracing both the beauty and the challenges of the road, almost earning every destination, speaking with strangers, meeting new people along the way, and learning about cultures through conversations with locals — this is what makes travelling truly unforgettable!

This past year, I set out on my first solo bicycle adventure across Japan, a country so far from home but one I really wanted to experience —
and it became one of the most meaningful journeys of my life.
From the nervousness of departure to the thrill of discovery,
I learned that when we dare to take the leap and follow our dreams, the most extraordinary adventures unfold!

My bike packing mantra is that when you travel by bicycle, the journey is the destination. Meaning that every moment should be lived fully and cherished.
In a world where everything is fast and instant, bike travel reminds me to live fully in every moment and savour every experience.
The slower pace allows you to truly see the places you pass through and connect with the cultures that shape them.
